'Resorts West House of Luxury' to Host Exclusive Screenings, Hottest Events and Most Influential Brands at Sundance Film Festival

PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RAND Luxury, the international event-production firm that caters to the world's finest luxury brands, announced its plans for the much-anticipated "Resorts West House of Luxury" at the Sundance Film Festival, January 20-21, 2013. Showcasing Resorts West's "Ski Dream House," the two-day experience will feature an invitation-only luxury exhibition of some of the world's most influential brands, including Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Hasselblad, and Sony, among others. Resorts West House of Luxury will also host screenings and receptions for Sundance films including He's Way More Famous Than You starring Ben Stiller, Linsanity, Toy's House, The Crash Reel, and Running from Crazy starring Mariel Hemingway. Selected Sundance casts and producers associated with the films are among those anticipated to attend.

The venue for Resorts West House of Luxury, the Ski Dream Home, is one of Park City's most luxurious mansions. Owner Resorts West recently placed on the market for $21.9 million. The two-day event will put an experiential twist on the traditional real estate open house, allowing attendees to visualize the lifestyle that comes with owning a slope-side chalet. The 14,000-square-foot home sits directly on Deer Valley's Mountaineer run with ski-in/ski-out access.

Producers Host Sundance Screenings 

The Resorts West House of Luxury will host screenings for several high-profile Sundance film screenings and receptions:

January 20:

• 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.: Linsanity
  A documentary film chronicling Jeremy Lin's improbable rise from substitute player to stardom last season. The movie was directed by Evan Leong, an Asian director/producer whose works include Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee and 1040: Christianity in the New Asia. He was also the former assistant to Justin Lin, who directed the blockbuster film The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.

• 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.: He's Way More Famous Than You
  A film starring Ben Stiller & Jesse Eisenberg and directed by Michael Urie. When once-up-and-coming indie film starlet Halley Feiffer loses her boyfriend, her agent and her career in one fell swoop, she finally realizes that something in her life has got to change... she has to become way more famous! Armed with a stolen script and two pitchers of sangria, Halley enlists the help of her brother Ryan and his boyfriend to make her own movie, starring herself (of course) as herself, and any A-list celebrity she can land along the way. • 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.: The Crash Reel
  This eye-popping, yet intimate story of U.S. champion snowboarder Kevin Pearce uses years of verite footage to expose the excitement and appeal, as well as the high stakes, of participating in extreme-action sports. Training to compete against longtime rival Shaun White at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Kevin suffered severe traumatic brain injury. The Crash Reel is director/producer Lucy Walker's fifth film at the Sundance Film Festival. Devil's Playground screened in 2002, Waste Land won the World Cinema Documentary Audience Award in 2010.
