Restoration Hardware Appoints Carlos Alberini, Co-CEO, and a Member of the Board of Directors

CORTE MADERA, Calif., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Restoration Hardware today announced that Carlos Alberini has been appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company.

Mr. Alberini joins Restoration Hardware from Guess?, Inc. where he served as the Company's President, Chief Operating Officer and Director since December 2000.  As a member of the leadership team with Guess co-founders Paul and Maurice Marciano, Mr. Alberini helped build Guess into one of the world's leading global lifestyle fashion brands, expanding the Company's market value from $200 million to more than $4 billion.

In his new role, Mr. Alberini will report to Restoration Hardware's Chairman Gary Friedman, who is also currently the Company's sole CEO.  With this new appointment, Mr. Friedman and Mr. Alberini will share the CEO responsibilities.  Mr. Friedman will continue to lead the Company's Creative, Merchandising, and Marketing functions, and Mr. Alberini will manage the Company's Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Information Technology, Stores, and Human Resources functions.  Mr. Alberini will also continue to serve as a member of the board of directors of Guess?, Inc.
