Oral Mucosal Immunotherapy Using A Toothpaste Delivery System Shows Promise For Treating Allergic Rhinitis
MADISON, Wis., Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Shara Rudner, RPh., FIACP, FACA, Director, Clinical Trials Group for Restore Health, was part of a research collaboration that developed a new delivery system could help millions of people who suffer from seasonal allergies. The study results were featured in a national news story on Oct. 1, 2014.
Dr. William Reisacher from Weill Cornell Medical College and colleagues teamed up with Rudner to study a novel method of delivering allergenic extracts using a compounded toothpaste vehicle. Research results were featured in the July/August 2014 International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding.
