Retsly to Hold Hackathon to Create New Products and Services for the Real Estate Industry

SEATTLE and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Retsly®, a software company that collects and standardizes real estate data from multiple listing services (MLSs) and more than 3,000 counties announced today that it's holding a hackathon, called zip.code, November 6 – 8, 2015, at the Zillow Group office in San Francisco, Calif. Zip.code will bring together hundreds of developers to create new products and services using MLS and public records data to benefit agents, brokers, and MLSs.

"We're excited this event will begin to explore what's possible when you connect the brightest developers with high-quality real estate data directly from MLS and public records," said Errol Samuelson, Zillow Group chief industry development officer. "We expect that ideas developed at zip.code will drive the creation of products that benefit everyone involved in the real estate transaction."

Participants are encouraged to innovate on any housing-related topic using real data supplied by several MLSs and delivered through Retsly's new Listing and Public Data Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Participants will be competing for $25,000 in cash spread across three categories; Best Use of the Retsly Listing APIs, Best Use of the Retsly Public Data APIs, and Crowd Favorite.
