Return On Innovation Advisors Ltd. Announces Founding Partner Wilfred Vos as President of the Firm

TORONTO, March 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Return On Innovation Advisors Ltd. ("ROI Capital") announced today a leadership transition that sees Founding Partner Wilfred Vos succeed David Sharpe as President of the firm.

Mr. Sharpe joined the firm one year ago at a time of transition for the firm and certain of the funds it manages. With the restructuring and listing of three of these funds on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") and the restructuring of a fourth fund completed as well as the implementation of new processes at the firm, Mr. Sharpe has left his position with the organization to assume new challenges: "While my time with ROI Capital was relatively brief,  we accomplished what I was retained to do, leading the organization successfully through a major restructuring and transition and the successful removal of the terms and conditions imposed on the firms registration in 2012 by the Ontario Securities Commission, all which has positioned ROI Capital well for the future. It added to my portfolio of professional experiences, and I look forward to leading and assisting other firms facing complex challenges that require my legal, regulatory and management expertise." Mr. Sharpe has agreed to temporarily assist ROI Capital with its executive transition.

Mr. Vos joined the firm over seven years ago as a partner, responsible for product development, management and new initiatives for ROI Capital. Since Mr. Vos started at ROI Capital, he has been responsible for the launch of 9 products and the firm's assets under management over the period have increased from $70 million to $1.4 billion. He is a highly regarded and credentialed veteran of the investment industry; among his many degrees and designations are a B.Sc., MBA, CFA, CFP, CIM, CBV, DMS, FCSI and FMA. He has published several investment books and articles and was the recipient of the Best New Initiative Award from Morningstar Research Inc. in 2002. He continues to provide ROI Capital and its funds with significant expertise and experience in investment product development and management.
