Rev Expands Global Currency Card Availability In Australia With St.George Bank

The card gives select customers the ability to lock-in favorable exchange rates before travel, and make payments in multiple currencies either in person or online wherever Visa debit cards are accepted.

The St.George Global Currency Card is available online for a select group of St.George Bank customers traveling abroad this holiday season.  This is the first step of a broader rollout plan that includes full availability, both online and across the bank's retail branch network, early next year. 

The St.George Global Currency Card allows international travelers to lock in foreign exchange rates of various currencies before or during their trip, and manage up to 5 currencies from the following list: Australian Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Singapore Dollars, U.S. Dollars, Canadian Dollars, New Zealand Dollars, Great British Pounds, Euros, South African Rand, Thai Baht, and Japanese Yen. 

In addition to Visa worldwide merchant acceptance and global access to ATMs, the St.George Global Currency Card may be reloaded online or via BPAY. The card offers Chip and PIN card security, Visa zero liability protection from fraudulent transactions, and free customer service, with 24/7 emergency assistance for lost and stolen cards.

Travelers manage the Global Currency Card account online or by downloading the St.George Global Currency mobile application, available for iOS and Android users.

St.George partnered with Rêv to manage the product development and program management of the product, utilizing Rêv's proprietary prepaid multi-currency processing platform.
