Em menos de duas semanas, a Miracle Machine virou um fenômeno com mais de 500 milhões de impressões da mídia, pois mais de 200.000 pessoas assistiram ao vídeo da Miracle Machine, 600 veículos de comunicação do mundo todo cobriram a história, 6.000 pessoas tuitaram sobre isso e 7.000 pessoas se inscreveram para uma potencial plataforma de financiamento público para investir na máquina falsa.

A crise da água e a falta de saneamento afetam mais de 2,5 bilhões de pessoas no mundo todo, e as mulheres e crianças são as que mais sofrem. De maneira chocante, uma criança morre a cada 22 segundos. Até hoje, a Wine to Water já proporcionou a mais de 250.000 pessoas, em 17 países, o acesso à água potável.

"A cada ano, quase dois milhões de crianças morrem em decorrência da contaminação da água e da falta de saneamento", afirmou James. "O milagre de transformar a água em vinho pode estar fora do nosso alcance, mas a Wine to Water mostrou que o milagre real de oferecer água potável está facilmente ao nosso alcance", concluiu. "A decisão de deixar de lado nossas referências de vinhos e se envolver foi fácil", afirmou Boyer. "Enquanto muitos gostam de desfrutar de uma taça de vinho, muitas pessoas no mundo todo não têm um copo de água potável, e isso é inaceitável", completou.

Por um dólar, a Wine to Water pode proporcionar água potável para uma pessoa por um ano. Ao utilizar uma variedade de filtros e poços de água, a Wine to Water muda vidas por um valor bem menor que os US$ 499 que seriam cobrados pela máquina falsa, que tantas pessoas estavam dispostas a comprar ou na qual queriam investir. "Pelo custo de uma garrafa de vinho, conseguimos uma forma de produzir água com 99.9% de pureza para uma família por até cinco anos, e ESSE é o verdadeiro milagre.
