Ric Elias to Speak at Life is Beautiful Event

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Ventures CEO and Hudson Miracle survivor Ric Elias takes the stage today at 3:30pm PST as a featured speaker at the 2^nd annual Life is Beautiful Festival in downtown Las Vegas, joining a long list of notable musicians, business leaders, chefs, artists and celebrity guests including Kanye West, Penn & Teller, Cat Cora and more.

Elias will revisit his experience as a passenger on Flight 1549, which crash-landed in the Hudson River in 2009 and, for the first time, share how this experience affected the way he ran his business. "I was given the gift of a miracle, of not dying that day," said Elias in his 2011 TED Talk. "I was given another gift, which was to be able to see into the future and come back and live differently."

His presentation is part of the Learning is Beautiful "Giving up the Grind" session, designed to bring together inspiring business leaders from around the world to share how they've combined profit with purpose.  Elias will close the session which also features Zappos CEO, Tony Hsieh, and Banana Republic Co-Founders, Mel & Patricia Ziegler.
