Ridgewood Private Equity Partners Appoints Michael Albrecht as Managing Director

NEW YORK and MONTVALE, N.J., Oct. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ridgewood Private Equity Partners (RPEP), an investment firm focused on energy-centric real asset private equity strategies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Albrecht as Managing Director. Michael is joining RPEP from Allstate Investments, where he most recently served as Acting Global Head of Infrastructure & Real Assets subsequent to Ross Posner's leaving Allstate to lead RPEP.

Prior to Mr. Posner's departure in May, Mr. Albrecht served as the head of direct investing for Allstate's Infrastructure & Real Assets private equity group. Before joining Allstate, Mr. Albrecht served as Senior Acquisitions Officer in JPMorgan Asset Management's Global Infrastructure Investments Private Equity Fund, where he made acquisitions and served on the boards of portfolio companies focused across many energy-related sectors in North America and Europe. Mr. Albrecht also worked at Altrinsic Global Advisors, a $5+ billion family of equity funds, where he led global investment coverage of several energy and real asset areas.  Mr. Albrecht began his career at RBC Dain Rauscher and Citigroup in their private wealth management and equity research divisions, respectively. 

Mr. Albrecht received his MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Richard Stockton College. In addition, Mr. Albrecht is a CFA® charterholder.
