RIMOWA Achieves Record Turnover Growth Of 40% In 2013

NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The financial year 2013 has just come to an end, and RIMOWA can already shine with an outstanding turnover report. With total revenue reaching an estimated 260 million euros, the RIMOWA group achieved an absolutely first-class result for the year. This represents an increase of approximately 40% over 2012. The constantly growing demand for high-quality products, global expansion and excellent customer service are at the root of the continued increase in sales for the RIMOWA group. This is reflected both in the large number of store openings that took place around the world in the previous year and in the creation of many new jobs. At the headquarters in Cologne alone, more than 200 team members joined the company in 2013. Globally, more than 2,000 employees are behind the impressive success of the RIMOWA group. These people work at the subsidiary companies of RIMOWA in North America, the Czech Republic, Brazil and Hong Kong in addition to the parent company based in Cologne.

An additional highlight of 2013 was the construction of new production facilities in Canada and the Czech Republic. In Cologne, too, productivity was boosted with the result that RIMOWA now produces some 5,800 cases a day around the world. International sales are carried out through selected dealers and around 100 RIMOWA stores. With exclusive limited-edition models that are available only in the RIMOWA stores, the premium brand continued to gain many loyal fans in 2013.

Although 2014 is only just under way, the company already has major plans and and a number of special highlights in store. The RIMOWA team is working tirelessly to secure success in the new financial year and is looking forward to the future with confidence.
