Ritchie Bros. to conduct Grand Opening auction at new Tipton site
TIPTON, CA, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - On Friday, February 12, 2010 Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new auction site in Tipton, California with an unreserved public auction and ribbon cutting ceremony. To mark the official opening of the new Tipton site, Tulare County Supervisor Pete Vander Poel III and Ritchie Bros. CEO Peter Blake will cut the ribbon in a midmorning ceremony.
The auction, which takes place following the World Ag Expo in nearby Tulare, is expected to attract bidders from the local area and beyond. Established in 1958, Ritchie Bros. now operates 40 auction sites globally. In 2009, the Company sold $3.5 billion of equipment at 327 unreserved auctions around the world.
Among the more than 1,200 agricultural and industrial equipment items being sold in the February 12th Grand Opening auction: over 90 MFWD tractors and 70 2WD tractors, 10 4WD tractors and a large selection of other farming equipment. The auction will also feature crawler tractors, wheel loaders, motor grades, loader backhoes, as well as an assortment of trucks and trailers.
