Riverside Court Reporter Toni O'Neill is Elected to the Board of the National Court Reporters Association
VIENNA, Va., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Members of the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) have elected Toni O'Neill, a supervising court reporter with the Riverside Superior Court, to serve a three-year term on the organization's Board of Directors. O'Neill has worked as an official court reporter since 1990, having worked previously for nine years as a freelance court reporter and agency owner while teaching at a court reporting school. The term "official court reporter" typically is used to describe court reporters who work within a judicial setting while "freelance court reporters" most often work in a deposition setting.
Ms. O'Neill has been a member of NCRA since 1981 and has filled a variety of volunteer roles within the organization over that 30-year period, work that has included serving as a lecturer at NCRA and state-level conventions as well as serving as a contributing editor to the Journal of Court Reporting.
Ms. O'Neill holds the Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) credential and, in 1996, earned one of the profession's highest distinctions when she become a Fellow of the Academy of the Professional Reporters (FAPR).
