Road Scholar Introduces New Camping Learning Adventures For Grandparents To Share Nature's Beauty With Their Grandchildren

BOSTON, Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to enriching the lives of older adults, not-for-profit Road Scholar is always innovating. For the summer of 2019, the educational travel organization is unveiling a new kind of experience in its collection of popular learning adventures for grandparents and grandchildren – camping in National Parks.

Led by naturalists and expert local staff, Road Scholar participants and their grandchildren (ages 8-18) will learn about our nation's greatest natural treasures as they camp in tents and embark on outings throughout the parks. The initial offerings include programs in Zion, Bryce, Yellowstone and Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota.

"Being outdoors and engaging kids in learning about the natural world is a stimulating alternative to a smartphone screen," said James Moses, President and CEO of Road Scholar.
