Roasting Plant Coffee Opens 8th Location in Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cutting-Edge Technology Brings In-store Roasting to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, Brewing the Freshest, By-the-Cup Coffee in the World.
Roasting Plant, the world's only coffee company to roast its beans in every café, brings its state of the art coffee experience to Ann Arbor and University of Michigan students from around the world, with the grand opening of Roasting Plant© at 312 South State Street across from the U of M campus on Thursday, November 16th. Specializing in just-roasted, brewed by-the-cup coffee, Roasting Plant adds Ann Arbor to the growing list of cities where they operate including New York City, Detroit, Dearborn, Minneapolis, Denver and San Francisco.
"We believe that our innovative technology-driven approach is the "next wave" in coffee and the perfect complement to the leading-edge research being done at the U of M," said Mike Caswell, founder of Roasting Plant. "We've developed an amazing, highly personalized experience with our Willy Wonka-like system that roasts coffee right in the store and brews every custom cup to order!"
What sets Roasting Plant apart from other artisanal, third-wave coffee shops is their proprietary Javabot system. This state-of-the art machinery brings the entire supply chain into each café with on-site roasting of green coffee beans and choice of 9 beans or a blend of any 4, brewed to order by the cup. Precise roasting and brewing parameters have been developed for every bean and drink, and precisely replicated by Javabot to reflect the unique character of each varietal and blend.
The just-roasted coffee experience with personalization of every custom cup of coffee is the defining quality of Roasting Plant. In about a minute, each customer can curate their perfect cup of coffee, complete with a frothy crema on top—a telltale sign of freshness. You won't get this from any other cup of black coffee anywhere else. Not a coffee expert? Knowledgeable baristas are staffed in every shop and can offer suggestions based on taste preferences.
Roasting Plant is thrilled to be a model in Ann Arbor, proving that efficiency and quick service can go hand-in-hand with the very highest quality and artisanal experience. The store was designed by NORR Architects in Detroit and built by Oxford Companies.
Roasting Plant also offers a wide range of food, including freshly baked morning pastries, salads for lunch and a wide assortment of healthy grab-and-go items, all chosen and prepared with the same commitment to quality as their coffee program.
Roasting Plant has invested years of R&D to produce the scalable Javabot technology and will soon bring their just-roasted, just-brewed coffee experience to more cities around the world. Roasting Plant is committed to brewing the best tasting coffee in the world made from the highest quality directly sourced beans, roasted on-site and brewed to order by the cup.
