
Robert C. Hart, DVM, DACVS Appointed Director of Orthopedic Surgery at The Animal Medical Center
NEW YORK, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Animal Medical Center (AMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert C. Hart, DVM, DACVS as Director of The AMC Orthopedic Center of Excellence. Dr. Hart brings with him vast experience in orthopedic surgical technique, including total hip replacement surgery, which The AMC will now provide for dogs and cats.
Prior to joining The AMC, Dr. Hart was Clinical Surgeon and Director of Surgical Services at the Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center in Bedford Hills, NY, where he provided specialty small animal surgery services in soft tissue, orthopedic and neurosurgery. He also served on the clinical faculty team at Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca, NY, where he supervised and educated surgical residents, interns and veterinary students in management of clinical patients, in addition to facilitating collaborative clinical research.
A noted author, lecturer and teacher, Dr. Hart holds several honors including being named Top Veterinary Surgeon of Westchester County 2011 and 2012 by Westchester Magazine. Dr. Hart graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University and completed his residency in small animal surgery in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.
