Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Directors

NEW YORK, March 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its board of directors: Andrew Gilmour, former UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights; Pamela Pavkov, partner at TPG NEXT; and Lisa Osborne Ross, a veteran communications expert who formerly served as U.S. CEO at Edelman.

These distinguished new Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Board members have been recognized worldwide.

Andrew Gilmour served 30 years at the United Nations, often posted in conflict zones in Africa, the Middle East, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. His final positions were in New York as Political Director in the Office of the UN Secretary-General, and finally Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights from 2016-19. He was the executive director of the Berghof Foundation from 2020-25, Germany's largest and oldest organization focused on peace and conflict around the world. Gilmour is the author of The Burning Question: Climate and Conflict – why does it matter?

Pamela Pavkov joined TPG in September 2022 as Managing Partner of TPG NEXT. Before joining TPG, she was a partner at Jasper Ridge Partners where she focused on private equity investing and impact advisory services. Pavkov started her career at Cambridge Associates. She is a member of the Wellesley Business Leadership Council. Pavkov earned a BA in English and Neuroscience from Wellesley College, an MA in English from Stanford University and an MBA and Certificate in Public Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Lisa Osborne Ross is a communications industry veteran with over 30 years of experience as an in-demand social impact, public affairs, and crisis management counselor. She is known for bringing balanced and inclusive solutions to complex business and societal challenges. Prior to Edelman, she served as managing director of APCO Worldwide's flagship office. During her 13-year tenure at Ogilvy Public Relations she founded and headed the Multicultural and Public Advocacy Practices and led the agency's Public Affairs Division. During the Clinton Administration, Ross served as U.S. Department of Labor Communications Director, Deputy Director of the bipartisan Federal Glass Ceiling Commission, co-authored the Commission's landmark final report and was a member of the inaugural team of the White House Office of Women's Initiatives and Outreach.
