Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series Celebrates Global Running Day with 24-Hour Worldwide Series Sale

SAN DIEGO, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series will celebrate Global Running Day (formerly known as National Running Day) with a 24-hour worldwide series sale, offering the best prices of the year on Wednesday, June 1.
Additionally, free running events will be hosted in dozens of Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series cities from Dublin to San Antonio where runners can hit the pavement, register for a race, and celebrate the running community.

Since 2009, Global Running Day was previously known as National Running Day and this year has expanded encouraging runners from all over the world to commemorate the sport. The festivities annually take place the first Wednesday in June.
All Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series events will offer significant savings across the board. Select destinations including Arizona, Raleigh, Nashville, San Diego (2017), Virginia Beach, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Los Angeles Savannah and Las Vegas are based on first come first serve basis. The sale opens sharply at midnight PST and will run for 24-hours.
More runners choose the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series than any other running series with 600,000 athletes from all over the world participating in one of 30 destination events in 2016.
