Romano's Macaroni Grill Ranked Best Italian Atmosphere And A Customer Favorite

HOUSTON, March 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In an annual consumer survey of 162 dining chains, Romano's Macaroni Grill leapt eight places over last year's ranking and into the top 10 in the casual dining category. The brand finished first among Italian casual dining chains for its Italian trattoria-inspired atmosphere and received highly favorable rankings for food quality, cleanliness and service.

Respected industry magazine Nation's Restaurant News conducted the Consumer Picks analysis, along with research firm WD Partners. The fourth annual survey received more than 44,000 vetted customer ratings.

From 2013 to 2014, the chain saw particular improvements in value, menu variety, craveability and atmosphere, supported by changes made by its new parent company, Ignite Restaurant Group. After acquiring Macaroni Grill in 2013, brand leadership made substantial changes to the menu and wine list, improving recipes and execution and adding memorable dining occasions driven by campaigns such as its $15 Tasting Menu and Summer Uncorked half-priced wine promotion.
