Ronald F. Geary Joins IntraHealth International as Vice President of Finance and Administration

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ronald F. Geary, CPA, MBA, has joined IntraHealth International as vice president of finance and administration. Geary brings with him the experience and expertise IntraHealth needs for continued growth and stability. At IntraHealth, Geary will oversee the corporate administration, contracts and grants, finance, information systems and technologies, office services and travel functions of the organization.

Geary has extensive experience in managing international and domestic financial systems, including hands-on experience with accounting systems and with the financial compliance requirements of the United States Agency for International Development, other federal agencies, universities, and foundations. He comes to IntraHealth after serving as Jhpiego's chief financial officer and treasurer and has worked with governments and international and domestic organizations in more than 25 countries. 

While at Jhpiego, Geary focused on internal controls and compliance review systems. Geary also spearheaded programs to build the capacity of international staff to meet donor requirements and streamline financial reporting in field offices.

Geary previously worked for CHF International as the deputy chief financial officer. While at CHF, Geary led a team that successfully launched a new financial accounting system and other compliance systems. He has also previously worked as a controller with CIIT, an independent 501(c)(3) research organization, and as the director of internal audit for Pathfinder International, where he oversaw the organization's internal audit work. He has also managed his own accounting and consulting practice for ten years.

As a volunteer, Geary sits as Treasurer on the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood's Board of Directors. He received his master of business administration at Suffolk University, Boston, MA.
