Meet Ropes & Gray's newest partners:

Ranee Adipat (Los Angeles) leads transformative health care deals for academic medical centers and large health systems across the U.S. She advises on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and other precedent-setting transactions.

Rajarshi Banerjee (Boston) is a life sciences lawyer who advises some of the world's leading venture capital firms, emerging biotechs, and large pharmaceutical companies on venture and growth equity investments and complex licensing and collaboration deals.

Matt Byron (Boston) advises strategic companies in mergers and acquisitions across industries, including life sciences, technology, industrials and consumer brands. His practice spans billion-dollar acquisitions to smaller research and development investments.

Katy Caldwell (Boston) is a civil litigator who handles high-stakes shareholder and commercial matters across industries. She has significant trial experience in federal and state courts, as well as experience representing clients in arbitrations, investigations and enforcement matters.

Alex Chauvin (London) leads secondaries deals in Europe and the U.S and was recognized as a "Next Gen Leader of Secondaries" by Secondaries Investor in 2020. She advises asset managers and institutional investors, including fund of funds, secondary buyers and sovereign wealth funds.

Chelsea Childs (San Francisco) advises registered fund sponsors on all aspects of their businesses, with additional experience in private funds and retail alternatives. Her broad practice is helpful to asset managers exploring opportunities outside their usual areas of focus.

Jessica Cooney (Boston) guides global private equity firms in a range of transactions, from leveraged buyouts and consortium deals to mergers and acquisitions and dispositions. She also brings experience advising public companies in strategic M&A.

Greg Demers (Boston) supports clients in the full range of labor and employment issues that arise in deals and disputes involving employees. He advises on contentious executive separations, restrictive covenant disputes, sensitive personnel investigations and other complex employment matters. 

Sam Duncan (New York) is a tax lawyer who advises asset management clients on all tax aspects of fund formation and complex sponsor transactions. He also has deep experience counseling private equity clients on tax matters in investment transactions.
