Tarun and Kokil Singhal launch Always Best Care to Provide In-Home Support for

Both Tarun and Kokil helped care for their grandfathers, who experienced limited mobility following strokes. The launch comes as Williamson County continues to grow and its population ages. The county's population reached an estimated 752,827 in 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, while 13.7% of residents are now age 65 or older.

For the Singhals, however, the need for senior care is more than a demographic trend.

"When I was caring for my grandfather, I was trying to balance school while my father worked full time, and we didn't have someone we could call for help," said Tarun. "Having someone we trusted who could step in and reassure us that he was safe and well cared for would have made such a huge difference. I didn't have that option then. Now, we have the opportunity to provide that option for other families."

For Kokil, the experience of being separated from her own parents has given her a different perspective on what families need from professional caregivers.

"I know what it's like to love your parents and not be able to be there every day," Kokil said. "Through our caregivers, we can give families someone who can step in like a son or daughter would, helping with the everyday things while also providing companionship and connection."

From Technology to a More Personal Mission

The Singhals spent years building careers in technology before deciding to take their experience in a different direction.

Kokil worked as an IT program manager, including with Fortune 100 companies, while Tarun built his career in technology and business. But as they thought about the next chapter of their lives, they began asking a different question: What could they build that would have a meaningful impact on other people?

"What can we do that leaves a positive mark on the world?" Tarun said. "For us, caring for people was the answer."

Their technology background will still influence how they operate Always Best Care. But Tarun believes technology should support caregivers and families, not replace the human connection at the center of senior care.

"Technology and AI can give us tools to run a better business and support our caregivers, but a computer can't replace the human connection between a caregiver and the person who is depending on them. At the end of the day, this is still about people taking care of people."

Building a Business in the Community They Call Home

For the Singhals, opening the business in Round Rock is intentional.

They have spent 15 years living in the community and raising their family here. Now they are investing in the same community as business owners, employers and local care providers.

The couple plans to hire 30 to 50 caregivers during its first year and is building relationships with healthcare providers, senior living communities and veteran support organizations throughout the area.

They also plan to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's – Williamson County on October 17 and other community initiatives supporting seniors and their families.
