Rowenta® Introduces Intense Aqua Control Humidifier

WEST ORANGE, N.J., Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rowenta, the leading manufacturer of high-performance small home appliances, announces the launch of the brand's premiere humidifier: the Rowenta Intense Aqua Control. This new addition to Rowenta's product line provides the optimal humidity level to protect consumers' health from the negative effects of dry air, such as skin and respiratory ailments. Rowenta entered the home comfort category with the launch of Turbo Silence Fans in 2013 and is currently developing additional products, which will be available in 2015.

The superior design of the Rowenta Intense Aqua Control Humidifier enables an output of two gallons of steam per day at only 40 decibels, which is equivalent to the level of noise in a library. The technology implemented includes a ceramic disc that vibrates at an ultrasonic frequency to instantly create micro-fine cool water droplets which are blown into the room where they immediately evaporate. The humidifier also contains a tubular electric heater in which the water temperature is heated to 95°F to create 20% more humidity.

The various design features of the new Rowenta Intense Aqua Control are user-friendly and provide consumers with same level of excellence that they have grown to expect from the brand. Users can set the humidifier at a targeted room humidity level; the humidifier will only run when the room humidity is below the specified target. Additionally, there is a continuous run feature, which allows the humidifier to run until the tank is empty; a safety stop system is employed if the humidity level of a room exceeds 90%. A warm mist function increases the steam output by 20% and effectively kills any bacteria in the water.

The humidifier offers three smart modes, which include:

• AUTO –  targeted room humidity level automatically set at 55%
• BABY –  targeted room humidity level automatically set at 50% and all device lights are turned off; runs for 7 hours
• NIGHT –  targeted room humidity level automatically set at 50%; speed gradually fades; all device lights are turned off; runs for 8 hours

The Rowenta Intense Aqua Control humidifier retails for $215 and will be available at Bed Bath & Beyond and additional leading retailers in the fall of 2014.
