MADISON, Wis., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Meemic Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Michigan-based Meemic Insurance Company, has been offering financial assistance in the form of grants to schools and educators since 1992. During that time, the Foundation has touched more than 1.5 million students through its financial support of education initiatives. Today, the Meemic Foundation announced that Roy Hinz has joined The Meemic Foundation as a Community Advocacy Administrator.
Experienced in public affairs, communications and building community partnerships, Hinz brings nearly two decades of industry experience to his new position. Prior to joining The Meemic Foundation, Hinz served as the Director of Public Affairs for AAA Wisconsin. During the course of his career, Hinz has created and implemented a variety of community outreach initiatives and grant programs, experience that will serve him well in him new position.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, Hinz has also served as a board member of the Tourism Federation of Wisconsin, served as the secretary-treasurer on the board of Wisconsin Safety Patrols, Inc and also served on the board of the Wisconsin Safety Patrol Congress. Hinz is also the former President of the Foundation for Dane County Transition School. Hinz earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications/Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
