
ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- RPJ Housing, an Arlington-based non-profit 501(c)(3) provider of affordable housing, including group homes and permanent supportive housing for those in need, has released its annual stewardship report. The report outlines specific steps the organization has taken to enhance its service delivery, ensure sustainability, and operate in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
Among the accomplishments highlighted in the report:
- Having Director of Property Management Melissa Simmons named "property manager of the year" by the Virginia Community Development Corporation at the Governor's Housing Conference.
- Strong financial performance, with current year financial results expected to surpass budget projections.
- Enhanced service delivery, including launch of a resident advisory council, ongoing surveys of resident satisfaction, and an annual resident satisfaction survey.
- Expanded resident services, including rent and food assistance to those in need, and a Spanish-language program.
- A continued emphasis on employee training and development, including providing EEO/diversity training, ethics training, communication skills, and best practices in landlord tenant relations.
