Now in its fifth year, the initiative recognizes the people whose work helps keep workplaces, healthcare facilities, public spaces, hospitality venues, transportation hubs and entertainment destinations operating every day. This year, RCP will host 11 appreciation events nationwide, personally recognizing around 1,250 custodial and facility professionals for their contributions to communities across the country.

Launched in 2022, Behind the Scenes of Clean has become an annual tradition that celebrates the custodial and facility professionals whose work is essential to keeping communities running. Since its inception, the initiative has hosted more than 250 recognition events nationwide and honored around 25,000 custodial and facility maintenance professionals, celebrating the often-unseen workforce behind clean, safe, and welcoming environments.
