Rubenstein Public Relations Announces the Arrival of New Media Department Specialist

NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Rubenstein, President of Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR), announced today that the agency has hired Katie Laucks as a Media Department Specialist.  In this newly created position, Laucks will be instrumental in helping RPR to expand upon its industry-leading media relations services and secure high-impact media exposure for the agency's clients.

As a Media Department Specialist, Laucks will leverage her extensive media contacts, while developing new relationships, to generate high-level, impactful exposure for RPR's clients through strategic campaigns.  She will also provide media relations counsel to each of the agency's teams and identify new tools and techniques for conducting effective media outreach.

Laucks joins RPR from Missy Farren & Associates (Mfa Ltd.), a marketing and public relations firm, where she held positions as an Account Manager and Senior Media Specialist for over three years.  At Mfa Ltd., Laucks developed strategic campaigns and secured extensive media coverage in national and regional media outlets for clients including ROXY Outdoor Fitness Apparel, Red Bull Signature Series, C9 by Champion for Target, Schwinn bikes, The Cayman Islands and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, as well as other companies in the fashion, fitness, lifestyle, travel, and health and wellness industries.

Previously, Laucks was a Public Relations Assistant at Dan Klores Communications and was responsible for all aspects of media relations programs for the agency's celebrity, corporate and fashion clientele, including pitching, event production and research.  Laucks also supervised the agency's internship program by recruiting, training and managing up to three interns every semester.

Laucks is a graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies with a concentration in Journalism.
