Rug Doctor® Introduces New Portable Spot Cleaner and Deep Carpet Cleaner

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rug Doctor (http://rugdoctor.com/), the manufacturer of the most convenient, powerful DIY hot water extraction carpet cleaning machines and products, today announced two at-home machines just in time to help consumers spruce up their homes for fall and holiday entertaining. The Portable Spot Cleaner, engineered for quick cleanup of disruptive spills and stains, and the Deep Carpet Cleaner, designed for routine deep cleaning, are now available at select retail stores in the U.S., Amazon.com and the Rug Doctor website.

Portable Spot Cleaner

The Portable Spot Cleaner is the first of its kind for the Rug Doctor brand. It includes a hand-held motorized brush, allowing customers to get to the heart of tough stains, two times the suction in comparison to other portable carpet cleaners, a convenient retractable handle and wheels for transporting. The Portable Spot Cleaner has an MSRP of $149.99.

Deep Carpet Cleaner

The Deep Carpet Cleaner boasts a sleek design, dual-cross action brushes for a deep down clean and 75 percent more suction compared to leading competitors. The machine also includes a super boost spray option for additional cleaning power in high traffic areas or on stubborn stains. The Deep Carpet Cleaner was recently awarded the Gold Seal of Approval by the Carpet and Rug Institute – the only set of industry awards that include scientific testing for effectiveness of machines. The Deep Carpet Cleaner has an MSRP of $289.99.

Rug Doctor partnered with a leading industrial design firm, Nottingham Spirk, on the design of both products to ensure they each met customer demands for machines that have powerful suction, can tackle stains and are easy-to-use.

"Rug Doctor has been the leader in carpet cleaning machines and products for more than four decades and we know consumers want to own a machine that provides professional grade clean with portability and ease of use," said Ann Marie, product manager of retail machines for Rug Doctor. "So we now offer two compact but powerful machines for consumers who may need to clean their carpet and upholstery on a regular or emergency basis."

Both the Portable Spot Cleaner and the Deep Carpet Cleaner work best when paired with Rug Doctor cleaning solutions such as the Professional Oxy-Steam® Cleaner, Professional Pet Formula and the Professional Portable & Upholstery Cleaner.
