Runzheimer International® Celebrates 80 Years in Business as Leaders in Mobile Workforce Management

WATERFORD, Wis., Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Runzheimer International^®, the leader in Total Employee Mobility^® solutions, is celebrating 80 years in business this October. Headquartered in Waterford, WI, the company has grown consistently year over year, has thousands of clients and currently employs more than 200 people.

The company was founded in 1933 by Rufus E. Runzheimer in Chicago, IL with a solution to reimburse employees who drove their personal vehicles for business purposes. The Runzheimer Plan quickly became recognized as the industry standard for determining the cost of vehicle ownership and operation.

In 1962, Rufus Runzheimer, Jr., took active control of the company, relocating it to Rochester, WI, while expanding the product and service offering. A final move to Waterford, WI in 2002 marks the company's present-day location.

Today, the company remains family-owned and operated under the guidance of Rex Runzheimer, grandson of the founder, and the leadership of Greg Harper, President and CEO. It has become the leader in helping companies manage mobile workforces through reimbursement systems and policy development for business vehicles, relocation management, routing and logistics software, business travel management software and mobile device management.
