Russ Stanton Joins G.F.BUNTING+CO

LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- G.F.BUNTING+CO, a California-based strategic communications firm, announced today the hiring of Russ Stanton, the former editor of the Los Angeles Times and VP of Content for Southern California Public Radio.

Stanton has more than three decades of editing and business reporting experience in Southern California. Most recently, he oversaw the award-winning newsroom of 89.3 KPCC, the second-largest public radio station in the nation. Under his leadership, KPCC expanded broadcast, digital, mobile and live-events programming.

Stanton served as editor-in-chief of the Los Angeles Times from 2008 to 2011, capping a 30-year career in newspapers. At The Times, he led a rapid expansion of its online news report and the restructuring and integration of its Internet operation with the print newsroom.

During Stanton's tenure as editor, The Times won three Pulitzer Prizes, including the Gold Medal for Public Service.
