RVC and Ministry of Economic Development Release Report on Implementation Innovative Development Strategy

RVC and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation have jointly presented "Russia: Focus on Innovation", the first independent public analytical report on the implementation of the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Russian Federation for the period until the year 2020. The report was released at the  St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2013.  The report was initiated by the RVC with the assistance of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and supported by other institutions and market participants.

"Our society has already an understanding of innovation as a driver of economic development, said Igor Agamirzian, CEO RVC.  "But over the last decade, innovations have become a major opportunity and a major challenge that face society. And it is very important to meet this challenge adequately, effectively using the  potential that we have. Russia's transition from the catching up scenario to the category of global innovation leaders directly depends on the implementation of this Strategy."

The report is a compilation of analytical reports by the experts of The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, as well as by other ministries and agencies, development institutions and open Russian and foreign sources. Over 80 experts expressed their views and professional advice on the progress of further implementation of the Strategy.

The report is addressed to technological entrepreneurs, representatives of science and education areas, small and medium businesses, investors, analysts and journalists, start-ups, enterprise managers of the real sector, as well as federal and regional executive bodies.
