Ryan Bader Continues to Give Back with $10,000 Donation to Support Families of Navy SEALS
Team Sponsor Incapital to Match Ryan Bader's Contribution
BOCA RATON, Fla. and CHICAGO, Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight Ryan Bader, a member of the Incapital fight team, will square off against Anthony Perosh at UFC Fight Night 33 on Friday, December 6th at 9 p.m. ET from Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia.
While in the final days of preparing for UFC Fight Night 33 bout in Brisbane, Ryan made a decision that will benefit countless families of Navy SEALS back in America.
Ryan Bader is planning to contribute $10,000 to support the SEAL - Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Family Foundation. Bader's contribution is being matched by his sponsor, Incapital.
"When I heard about the great work that the NSW Family Foundation is doing to support the families of Navy Seals, I knew I wanted to support that," said Bader
Earlier this year, Bader made a $5,000 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that focuses on providing programs and services to soldiers who are severely injured in battle.
"The men and women in the United States Military allow me to live my dream, and I want to continue to do everything I can to thank them," said Bader, who says he's just getting started. "There is a lot more I want to do in the year ahead to give back to those who serve our country."
"The Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation is very appreciative of Ryan's support for the families of Navy SEALs," said John Galt, Vice Chairman of the NSW Family Foundation Board. "Ryan's generous gift will help to allow our warriors a greater sense of ease knowing that their loved ones have strong support here at home.
"Ryan's efforts to support those who have served our country inspire us all," said Incapital CEO John Radtke. "Incapital is very proud to share Ryan's commitment and enthusiasm for supporting great organizations like the SEAL NSW Family Foundation and giving something back."
About SEAL – Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation
The SEAL – Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation plays a key role in supporting the NSW Community and through its programs helps to ensure NSW is able to maintain a resilient, sustainable, and healthy force in this era of persistent conflict and frequent deployments. The NSW Family Foundation's efforts allow the Navy SEALs and their fellow NSW Warriors to focus on their training and deployment with a greater sense of ease knowing that their loved ones have an active support network here at home. In the event a warrior is wounded or killed we quickly focus our attention on helping the families with mutual support, bereavement resources, and social events designed to allow friends and family to get together to share their grief and begin to rebuild their lives. In these situations our goal is to rapidly deploy resources to fill gaps in Government and Military Programs. The Foundation provides support that the government and other benevolent organizations do not. An expansive charter allows the Foundation to provide tailored support that has been vetted through the service members' chain of command. Close coordination with Naval Special Warfare Family Support and the NSW Command keep the Foundation highly attuned and responsive to the ever-changing needs of the NSW Community.
Our Morale and Welfare programs support the NSW Community with a wide array of services that include Seasonal Events which allow thousands within the NSW Community to gather and spend time at specially crafted events designed to promote morale and to make sure our warriors and their families know civilians appreciate their sacrifice. Our "Overseas Programs" provide the troops with items and support they might not otherwise obtain and our "Bridge the Gap" program purchases specialized Rehab Equipment to speed the recovery of the injured and wounded.
