Ryan Kiscaden, Executive Director, Thermostat Recycling Corp., Receives Waste360's "40 Under 40" Award

"The program recognizes inspiring and innovative professionals under the age of 40 whose work in waste, recycling and organics has made a significant contribution to the industry," according to Waste360, a provider of information events, commerce and education in the solid waste, recycling, organic and sustainable communities. Waste360 draws from rising young professionals in the industry, including those in waste hauling, equipment manufacturing, recycling, composting, technology and policy.

"I am extremely grateful to receive this award and wish to publicly thank Meg Morris with Covanta for the nomination," says Kiscaden. "It's an honor to be chosen for the class of 2018. I know that this award could have gone to a number of candidates, and it reaffirms my commitment to the industry."

Kiscaden joined TRC (www.thermostat-recycle.org)  in January 2014 as the corporation's director of national accounts to expand TRC's network of wholesale collection sites and increase collections at existing sites. Kiscaden has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College and a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Elizabethtown College.

In March 2016, Kiscaden became TRC's executive director.

Kiscaden will be honored during an awards ceremony at WasteExpo, North America's largest solid waste, recycling and organics industry event, April 23 to 26, 2018, in Las Vegas.
