SABEResPODER Announces Their 2010 Leadership Awards Honorees: Henry Cisneros, U.S. Treasurer Rosie Rios, Daniel Ayala, Irene Sibaja and MALDEF

LOS ANGELES, July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Since 2008, SABEResPODER has honored some of the most inspiring and dynamic leaders advancing the Latino community in the U.S. This year's SABEResPODER Leadership Awards Gala, a fundraising dinner in support of the Migrant Scholars Leadership Institute (MSLI), will be held on Thursday, August 5th starting at 6:00pm in the Sunset Ballroom of the Luxe Hotel Sunset Blvd.

Esteemed past honorees include: U.S. Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis and Co-Founder of the United Farm Workers, Dolores Huerta. This year's outstanding honorees are:

• Legislative Leadership Award: MALDEF, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund

Proceeds from the evening will benefit MSLI, an intensive one-month academic and leadership skills program for high-achieving students from throughout California's migrant farm working community. MSLI is administered by UCLA and powered by SABEResPODER since 2007.
