Las Vegas defense manufacturer credits Christian faith, financial stewardship and its American manufacturing workforce while continuing to support small fabrication partners.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SAFE Structure Designs, a U.S. defense engineering and manufacturing company, is highlighting the importance of financial stewardship and domestic supply-chain resilience after navigating approximately $4.7 million in unpaid customer receivables tied to completed manufacturing work. A $4.7 Million Financial Challenge—and a Testimony of Faith

For President and CEO Johnny Buscema, the experience was more than a business challenge. It was a personal testimony to the Christian principles upon which SAFE Structure was built: honoring commitments, stewarding resources responsibly and trusting Jesus Christ through difficult circumstances.

"By God's grace, we built SAFE on a foundation that prepared us for difficult circumstances," said Buscema. "Facing approximately $4.7 million in unpaid receivables was a serious challenge. Yet we continued paying the people and businesses that depended on us. We give Jesus Christ all the glory for carrying us through this season and allowing us to keep our word."

SAFE Structure says its disciplined approach to managing cash flow and obligations helped the company continue its defense manufacturing work without shifting the financial burden onto its manufacturing partners. The reference to unpaid receivables describes the company's own experience and is not intended as an allegation against any customer or other party.

Supporting Small American Manufacturing Businesses

SAFE Structure performs engineering and manufacturing work while collaborating with U.S.-based material suppliers, fabrication shops and specialized trade partners when projects require additional capabilities. These relationships support American welders, machinists, engineers and other skilled workers serving military and government missions.

In a separate effort, Buscema recently provided financial assistance to a small fabrication partner experiencing financial strain, including an unsecured loan intended to help the business address high-interest debt and sustain operations.

"Behind every shop are families, workers and years of craftsmanship," said Buscema. "When a dependable partner faces a difficult season and we have the ability to help, our faith calls us to put our values into action. Supporting American manufacturing means standing alongside the people who do the work."
