Port wine barrel finish debuts alongside return of last year's popular Double Oak

At a bold 101-proof, Port Finish, a blend of straight rye whiskies, is aged to perfection in 53-gallon American oak barrels then finished for six months in 59-gallon port wine barrels sourced from Portugal and Baltimore-based Boordy Vineyards. The result is a rich and spicy taste with notes of dark dried cherries - a true sweater-weather whiskey for the fall.
Ninety-six-proof Double Oak is back for a second dip into the barrels after a highly successful, award-winning debut last fall. After spending four years aging in oak barrels, Sagamore Spirit's straight rye whiskey is placed into wave stave oak barrels for an additional six months, reenergizing the aging process and resulting in a taste rich with caramel and dark vanilla.
