LAS VEGAS, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Transferring photos to the Apple iPad is a snap with Sakar International's new Disney AppClix Camera, a 7.1 MP point-and-shoot camera featuring a slide-out 30-pin connector that plugs directly into the iPad for easy uploads. Colorful form factors adorned with Disney characters, plus Disney Pix photo editing software filled with image decorating options from Mickey Mouse to Disney's The Muppets, add a dose of Disney 'magic' for family-friendly photo capture, customization and sharing.

With a 4X digital zoom, 1.5-inch preview screen, built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery, MicroSD slot and included 32MB memory card, the new camera requires no cables, card readers or connection kits to move images to the iPad or iPad 2. Simply plug the built-in connector into the tablet dock like a charger and click 'Download Photos.'

Free Disney Pix software that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store can be used to do basic photo editing including decorating photos with Disney characters, props, backgrounds and stickers as well as generic clip art such as silly faces and hairpieces; incorporating your own freehand designs; adding text in your choice of colors and typeface; and sharing the results with family and friends – all via the easy-to-use iPad touch interface.

The Disney AppClix Camera (MSRP $79) is available with a choice of Tinker Bell, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess, or Phineas and Ferb designs, each with a different color background. It is currently sold at Walmart and B&H Photo.

The camera will be on display with other new Sakar merchandise at Central Hall 10144 booth at the 2012 CES International conference that opens today in Las Vegas.
