Company's Significant Annual Milestones are Being Celebrated with Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell

The official opening of the Center, located at Salient's headquarters in Fairfax, Va., is being celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this evening by Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.

Salient's Talent Operations applies an innovative approach to identifying and qualifying talent that is unique to the federal contracting market, featuring a deeply methodical system to rapidly and precisely match IT professionals and engineers to government requirements. The talent evaluation process and dedicated facilities enable Salient to develop comprehensive knowledge of candidates' skills, expertise, and strengths, as well as their backgrounds, professional goals, and personality traits. All of these attributes are carefully evaluated and matched against extensive criteria to identify the best set of candidates for a given position.

Salient's Talent Operations Centers operate similar to network or security command centers. Talent Operations Specialists work behind dual flat screens, using a documented process framework to manage a talent pool of more than 350,000 verified candidates in more than 20 labor categories, most with clearances. Assignments and performance are monitored on a floor-to-ceiling video wall that covers one entire side of the Center.

The Fairfax facility is one of three Talent Operations Center planned for Salient.  In addition to the existing Center in Tampa, Salient plans to open another Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 2012.  

The new Talent Operations Center is a prominent highlight among the growing list of accomplishments Salient has achieved in the one year since it was formed.
