Salsa, Timba and Merengue International MegaStars Tito Nieves, Issac Delgado, and Mala Fe to headline the 6th Puerto Rican and Cuban Festival

HOUSTON, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Salsa, Merengue and Timba lovers will gather once again in Houston to celebrate the musical, cultural and culinary heritage of Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. The Internationally recognized PRC Festival is the largest celebration of Salsa and Merengue music and Caribbean culture west of the Mississippi.
Three of the most recognizable names in Salsa, Timba and Merengue; Tito Nieves, Issac Delgado, and Mala Fe will provide hours of the best tropical music sure to please the most demanding salseros, timberos and merengueros attending the PRC Festival. Known as "The Pavarotti of Salsa," Tito Nieves, will bring to Houston the best of salsa/tropical music to three decades of fans. Nieves will bring hits that made millions fall in love with Salsa; Sonambulo and Senora Ley, as well as the new songs from his latest album "Mi ultima grabacion." Headliners will take song requests via the Festival's Facebook page.
Additionally the 12-hour Festival will feature local artists, DJs, bands and dance groups including: Angelucho y su Copa Cabana, Mi Rumba, Grupo Ka-Che, Rainel Pino, Pachangara, Cecille Araujo, Son 7, LD Dance Company, Michael Gonzalez, Amanda Suarez, Gifted Souls, Kanonazo Dance Co, Salrica Dance Co, Yamid Rodriquez, DJ Rodolfo El Chamo, DJ Jo Jo, DJ Salserin, DJ Ill-Set, and DJ Gonzo.

A portion of the PRC Festival proceeds will be donated to NHPO offering Hispanic professionals with career opportunities, professional development and leadership training.
