Sam's Club Becomes Sponsor of World BBQ Championship at the 3rd Annual World Food Championships

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The World Food Championships announced today that Sam's Club® has joined its roster of sponsors by becoming the official supplier of competition meats and supplies for the World Barbecue Championship, one of nine featured categories at this year's event, which will occur Nov. 12-18 in Downtown Las Vegas.  

Boasting a prize purse of more than $300,000, the 3rd Annual World Food Championships will once again use a tournament format and custom judging process to whittle more than 400 contestants down to nine category winners, who will then face off at a Final Table in front of a discerning panel of food celebrities and experts.

As the title sponsor, Sam's Club will be awarding more than $30,000 in total category prize money to the best culinary amateurs and pros competing in the World Barbeque Championship. Additionally, baby back ribs from Sam's Club will be featured in the Bourbon, BBQ and Banjos event on Friday night in the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
