Sam's Club Opens New Raymore Location Oct. 30

RAYMORE, Mo., Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- After serving the region for more than 30 years, Sam's Club will open its newest club in Raymore following an 8 a.m. Grand Opening ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 30. The new location, relocating from nearby Grandview, will serve as an anchor for the Raymore Galleria.

"We have a lot of history in this area – this club was one of the original Sam's Club locations that our founder, Sam Walton, opened in 1983," said Club Manager Desiree Rutledge. "The new club will build on that tradition and help us better serve our members throughout the area. We are excited to open this new environmentally-friendly building that has many modern features and includes a full-service pharmacy, a large area of fresh merchandise and several other exciting amenities."

Wednesday's Grand Opening will feature remarks from Raymore Mayor Peter Kerckhoff and local Chamber of Commerce President Brent Ewert.

Sam's Club has invited a variety of special vendors to showcase their products inside the club. Attractions will include Bear Paw Candy and Popcycle Electric Bicycles on-site through Sunday, Nov. 3. The club will also host special appearances by Len Dawson, Willie Wilson, Deron Cherry, John McDonald and Payton Kelly.

In addition, flu immunizations will be offered along with immunizations for pneumonia, zoster (shingles) and meningococcal.   

New location features added amenities
Measuring approximately 136,000 square feet, the new club will feature a variety of members-only amenities, including a Fresh Bakery, a Tire and Battery Center, a Cafe and a Fuel Station. The Optical Center offers $40 off each additional pair of regularly priced prescription eyeglasses with the purchase of a complete pair of eyeglasses at regular price.

A number of new health and wellness services are also available. The Sam's Club Pharmacy, open to both members and the public, features many $4 and $10 generic prescriptions, as well as extraordinary savings on branded prescriptions. Also, the new club will debut a new Hearing Aid Center, offering premium technology in hearing aids and personal listening devices available from a certified audiologist.

Array of environmentally-friendly features, convenience for small business owners built into club
