San Diego County Credit Union offers new mobile banking app for transferring credit card balances using your mobile phone

SAN DIEGO, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- San Diego County Credit Union^® (SDCCU®), San Diego's largest locally-owned financial institution, has announced a new capability to its mobile technology for SDCCU customers using Android™ or iPhone^® mobile devices. SDCCU's new Easy Balance Transfer app makes it possible for SDCCU Visa credit cardholders, using their mobile phones, to transfer their credit card accounts from other financial institutions to an attractive, low-rate SDCCU Visa^® credit card. SDCCU reports it is one of the first institutions in the nation to offer this innovative, cutting-edge mobile technology from mobile imaging company Mitek Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: MITK) whose technology also enables SDCCU Mobile Deposit, the organization's mobile check deposit service.

SDCCU's new Easy Balance Transfer app is available from either iTunes^® or Google Play^®. Here's how it works: SDCCU Visa credit cardholders can simply use their online banking username and password to log into the Easy Balance Transfer App and then use the app to take a photo of the bottom payment stub from a credit card bill from another financial institution. The app will read the company's name, address and payment amount. Then, the SDCCU customer, after reviewing the card information, can click "submit" to conveniently process the balance transfer.
