Sandata Highlights Electronic Visit Verification™ (EVV™) at 2018 National Association for Home Care & Hospice Conference

Sandata EVV™ ensures 21st Century Cures Act compliance by validating the: service performed;  individual receiving the service;  individual providing the service; date of the service; location of service delivery; and the time the service begins and ends. Despite the recent passing of H.R. 6042 which delayed the EVV mandate in Medicaid-reimbursed personal care services to January 1, 2020 at a national level, states continue to prepare and finalize their individual state plans for EVV compliance with the requirements of the 21st Century Cures Act.

While the EVV mandate is delayed in many states, now is the time for agencies to prepare for its arrival. As the leader in EVV and the only EVV vendor with experience in all four of the state mandate models that have deployed, Sandata is currently working with numerous state Medicaid agencies as they focus on choosing their EVV approach. We are also working with state home care associations to help educate provider agencies on the types of models that exist and how they can be utilized to ensure success into the future.
