Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort announces "The Best of Show" wines for the 24th annual Sandestin Wine Festival scheduled for April

DESTIN, FL, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ - Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is announcing the list of winning wines that will be available at the 24th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival taking place at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in April.

As a result of a comprehensive wine judging session, votes were cast for "Best of Show" for white and red wines. Gold, silver and bronze medals were also awarded in more than 50 different categories.

This year's top winners include:

    -   "Best of Show White" is the 2008 Mulderbosch Chardonnay from Opici.
    -   The "Best of Show Red" is the 2006 Tenuta di Trinoro Le Cupole from
        Stacole.

The Sandestin Wine Festival features three days dedicated to celebrating wine. On Friday, April 23, events include the Winemakers & Shakers walkabout at Wine World Destin. Featured festival seminars include Whiskeys around the World and Celebrate the Flavor! - a look at goat's and sheep's cheeses. The wine retail tent will also be open from noon - 8 p.m.
