The dividend is payable on October 11, 2016 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 30, 2016. This is the fourteenth consecutive quarterly cash dividend declared by the Bank.
The Bank reported $3.0 million in net income for the six-month period ended June 30, 2016, an increase of 16%, compared to the six-month period ended June 30, 2015. The book value per share of Santa Cruz County Bank's common stock at June 30, 2016 was $21.70, compared to $19.18 as of June 30, 2015. Shareholders' equity grew to $47.5 million, a 15% or $6.3 million increase compared to June 30, 2015. Solid second quarter earnings placed Santa Cruz County Bank in the top ranking for overall performance for California banks by Financial Management Consulting (FMC) Group.
