Saphran was recognized for its presentation on supply chain management at an AutoCom Associates "Tech Crawl" program held last year in Detroit. The MarCom Awards program is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
AutoCom President Larry Weis presented the Platinum Marcom Award to Ken Bassey, Saphran's founder and CEO, and Sue Lines, the company's vice president of operations and communications, at a dinner held during the 2013 SAE World Congress (April 16-18) in Detroit.
Saphran's systems allow companies to develop and manage forecasts based on current and future market trends. Its software enables customers, for example, to respond quickly to potential supply-chain impacts such as the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plant disasters in Japan.
"Saphran is a leader in designing systems to manage entire business cycles, including closed-loop predictive analytics for a company's current enterprise systems and for planning, quoting, costing and forecasting," Bassey noted. "We currently help to develop and support industry-leading business processes for a variety of automotive, manufacturing and high-tech companies," said Ken Bassey, Saphran's founder and CEO.
He noted that Saphran's business management systems "synchronize" data to current and future product structures, platforms and models. Time frames and attributes for analysis are flexible and easily modified. The company's systems bring together external market forecast data with operational data to predict demand and anticipate risk.
