Sapphire Ventures Hires Silicon Valley Veteran Scott Brown to Lead Marketing

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sapphire Ventures, a leading venture capital firm with $2.5 billion under management that invests in emerging growth-stage companies and early-stage venture funds, today announced the hire of Scott Brown as Vice President of Marketing. A Silicon Valley veteran, Scott brings over 20 years of marketing experience to Sapphire Ventures, having served in a variety of marketing roles at technology giants Google, Facebook, Cisco and more.  

As Vice President of Marketing, Scott will oversee the firm's marketing and communication activities. In this role, Scott will drive Sapphire's marketing strategy, digital channels and event execution to increase awareness of Sapphire's investment strategy and brand. He will also drive continued engagement with Sapphire's Portfolio Growth programs including the recently launched Sapphire Fellows program, participation in Sapphire's CXO Network, and the annual CIO Summit, which brings together hundreds of Global 2000 IT leaders and startup executives.

Scott joins Sapphire Ventures after leading global product marketing at Quantcast, where he launched multiple SaaS products, following his roles at Facebook, Google and Cisco. He graduated from Northwestern University with a Master's in Integrated Marketing, and a bachelor's in journalism from Drake University.
