COLUMBIA, Md., Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- xG Health Solutions, a leading healthcare management and redesign company powered by Geisinger Health Systems, is pleased to announce that Sarika Aggarwal, MD, MHCM, has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Population Health and Chief Medical Officer. In this role, Dr. Aggarwal will be responsible for xG Health's overall population health/care management strategy. She will also be responsible for operations and management of the Population Health Division and for the content of products and services provided by that team.

Prior to joining xG, Dr. Aggarwal served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Fallon Health in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she led Fallon's clinical operations and care management for commercial, Medicaid, dual eligible and Medicare lines of business. Before becoming CMO, Dr. Aggarwal was Vice President of Fallon Dual Special Needs Plan, which managed care for frail elders with multiple comorbidities. Earlier in her career, Dr. Aggarwal was Medical Director of the Office of Clinical Integration at UMass Memorial Medical Care, where she helped develop a population health strategy and define the attributes of an integrated delivery system. She was also an assistant professor of medicine at UMass Medical School. Dr. Aggarwal is a practicing internist with more than two decades of experience providing care to a wide range of patients.
In 2014, Dr. Aggarwal was named one of the Worcester Business Journal's "Business Women of the Year." She completed her residency in internal medicine at UMass Memorial, earned her medical degree from Grant Medical College of Bombay University, and received her masters in healthcare management from Harvard University.
