SatCom Marketing Employees Raise Money for Hurricane Sandy Victims
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees at SatCom Marketing, LLC, a teleservices company located in Minneapolis, MN, raised $1,450 to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The effort was initiated by employees who wanted to do something to help the victims of the hurricane that had lost their homes, possessions, and in some cases, even family members.
SatCom's employees and sales agents had the opportunity over a two day period to donate a portion of their salary or commissions on their sales to hurricane victims with the company matching all donations two to one. All money raised was given to the Red Cross relief effort for Hurricane Sandy victims.
"I am very proud of our employees and their efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy," said F. Dale Wunderlich, the President and CEO of SatCom Marketing. "So many of the customers we deal with are on the east coast and were impacted by Sandy, they really wanted to do something to help."
Wunderlich decided to multiply the efforts of SatCom employees by adding two dollars for every one dollar his employees donated. "Our employees work hard for a living and to see their generosity to the storm victims was incredible," said Wunderlich.
