To increase student engagement, Experience Math leverages problem-based activities and rich tasks to drive learning in each standards-aligned lesson.
The program focuses on improving student-centered learning with intentional teaching that is aligned with clear learning goals and strategic instructional decisions. Experience Math provides teachers quick access to professional learning videos, curated instructional support, and lesson presentations, making it easy to plan lessons and develop instruction.
Both enVision South Carolina and Experience Math offer easily accessible family engagement resources to support student learning at home. Brainingcamp digital manipulatives are embedded within the K-8 programs to give students access to interactive modeling tools to improve conceptual understanding.
In South Carolina's HQIM appraisals of the programs, the enVision South Carolina series and Experience Math all received high or perfect scores — at each grade level — on all three gateways (or criteria), which include: Alignment to the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Mathematics Standards and Coherence; Student Understanding; and Student and Teacher Supports.
