S&C Electric Company Donates $493,500 to Local Chicago Charities

CHICAGO, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- S&C Electric Company is proudly donating $493,500 to three local organizations through the company's Annual Giving Campaign. Funded by S&C team member contributions and a 150 percent company match, this year's campaign was the most successful in S&C's history and will support Community Health Charities, Misericordia, and United Way of Metro Chicago.

These three organizations' dedicated programs provide the local Chicago community with services spanning from health care to personal development and educational support. Misericordia, home to children and adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, will use S&C's donation for resident job training, therapies, medical care, and social activities. Funding provided to United Way of Metro Chicago will help tackle local challenges, such as improving graduation rates, and Community Health Charities will invest S&C's donation toward a variety of local programs.

S&C's Annual Giving Campaign stems from one of the company's core values of responsible stewardship and its long-term commitment to the local Chicago community. The campaign ran for one month and is organized entirely by S&C team members.
